Over 95% of the students in this district have English as a second language so, necessarily, much time is spent on language and getting them caught up. Unfortunately, this leaves little time for Science education and students have little exposure until high school. Students in my Physics class are starved for STEM experiences and going to The Tech will provide enormous exploration opportunities. This will also allow my kids to expand their ideas for possible majors and careers in their future. Due to finances and life circumstances, our students don't often get out of their community, so opportunities like this are incredibly important.
