I teach at a Montessori school and my seating is very flexible. The students work in an environment most suited for them. During the day, we do small group lessons sitting on the carpet. While we aren't doing a lesson, students are welcome to sit at the carpet while doing their work. At the end of the day, the students sit on the carpet to read independently before going home. The majority of our day is spent on our carpet and I fully believe a peaceful environment is vital when learning. Having a new rug for my classroom will be a huge aid in that peaceful environment I am trying to create for my students. I have 40 students that come to lessons on the carpet and many years of teaching to come. Help me help so many students in their learning journey.
