My students need watercolor paper, watercolor paint, and watercolor paint brushes. Good Morning! Every day and every hour I greet my students as they come into my classroom with a big smile and a Good Morning. I like them to be happy and up for our artistic adventure of the day. They are ready to create their masterpiece. Many of my students can not afford pencils let alone any art supplies such as paint. My students are a very creative diverse group who have not had an easy upbringing. Art helps them open up, use self-expression, and learn about artists, techniques, and materials. I have been teaching many types of drawing and shading techniques to my students. They are beginning to understand and master these skills. I would love to teach them watercolor painting techniques and then have them create a landscape, waterscape, or pictures of fruits and flowers. My students have not had the opportunity to learn how to watercolor paint. We have only been able to talk about watercolor artists because the supplies are too expensive for our small budget. I appreciate any donations so that we can learn the watercolor techniques and apply them creatively to a final painting.
