Students are required to read in school. Some of our students are struggling readers who need access to audiobooks. These are children who may have a specific learning disability, attention deficit disorder, dyslexia, or some other reading challenge. Our school provides us with a program to give audio support to students with reading challenges and the device on which to listen to books. My students need headphones to access the audiobook program without disturbing their classmates. Students are expected to have headphones, but some of them are not able to provide them on their own. With the purchase of these headphones, my students will be able to access literature at grade level so they can keep up with their classmates.
