Flexible seating in a busy and energetic sixth grade classroom will allow a variety of students to find seating that fits their learning style and be able to choose comfortable seating where they can take charge of their learning. During independent work time, the students need space and comfort in order to concentrate on the skills taught by Mrs. Barraza. Giving students choice and independence during the day gives them the opportunity to show what they learned in a way that works for their bodies. My students are more able to concentrate and less disruptive to their peers when they have more comfortable seating options that allow them to spread out around the room.

About my class
