If my students had iPads as a learning resource, then various reading apps, as well as many other apps can be utilized to help foster and increase their reading growth. Reading is a fundamental skill in life, and my desire and goal are to assist my students to grow exponentially as awesome readers. One of the skills I love using an iPad is for fluency reading. Having students listen to an individual leveled story reading, using headphones, aids them to hear what fluent reading sounds like. I also love recording them so they can hear themselves and reflect on their reading so they can reflect on their own learning.
