By helping me fund my project you would be opening up a world to my students and allow them to have endless learning opportunities. By providing 2 Apple IPad Pros, my students would be able to use the plethora of apps available in the Apple Store to support and extend their learning! It would allow them to practice their learning and expand their knowledge in the areas of math, science, and reading, while also giving them opportunities to develop their fine motor skills. Having the capability to use a touch screen will really open up a new world of learning for my students, especially those who struggle to use computers because of their fine motor and gross motor challenges. Many of the curriculum programs and testing sites our students use on a daily basis can be easily used on an iPad and they would be more accessible to all the students in my class. In addition to making their learning more accessible it would allow the opportunity for some students to be working on projects more independently. Gaining independence and building confidence in their abilities is just one of the many hurdles we work hard overcome. Being able to provide my students with a device that they can use independently and guide their own learning would be ideal! In an urban district like ours, getting our students the latest in technology is not easy, but by providing just 2 iPads it would give our students the ability to interact with the world and technology like never before!
