Many young students spend the day concentrating on NOT wiggling and spend hours at their seat. In my classroom students are free to move their bodies and listen on what's being taught. I believe the academic objective should be the main focus, even if that looks like a child rocking, or walking or sitting on the floor or even sitting on or under a desk. I can't sit for more than 5 minutes, why should 5 year olds? I give choices so students can learn how they personally learn best.
