My students will most likely be in distance learning many times this school year. Some will make the decision to only go to school from home. All of my students have a disability and thrive from being able to learn with hands on activities. This is a struggle for me without technology. No matter where I am teaching from, it would be beneficial for me to have technology that can help my students learn. With World History, we do many mapping and "draw with me" activities to learn from our past. For my students online, they need to be able to see me drawing, rather than from a program on a shared screen. A document camera will help me teach by allowing me to demonstrate this in real-time. Teaching from a single screen laptop is difficult as well, as I have to flip between different tabs while in my Google Meet. Having a second monitor, mouse, and keyboard, would allow me fluidity and more time with my students.
