Right now in our classroom, we are dealing with working on a concrete floor with only 1 shelf to store our entire classroom library and our laptops! This simply does not work for my little 3rd graders who can not reach their books without stepping on a chair, and can not see where their laptop chargers are! We desperately need a carpet to cover up our concrete floor! Our 3rd graders participate in restorative circles twice daily! In order for us to build our classroom culture, we rely on sitting in an inclusive circle and openly share our thought, ideas, and concerns. We need a carpet to sit on so my kids can get off the cold, hard concrete. We also will use this carpet for a quiet, soft place to sit and practice mindfulness in our weekly meditation practices. Please help us create a functional and comfortable environment for my kiddos!
