Every year, my 5th grade students look for ways to make a positive impact on their community through community service. This year we are focusing on kindness, specifically bringing the Kindness Rocks Project to our school. Its a simple thing where people leave rocks painted with inspiring messages along the path of life, to bring joy to someone who might have needed it. We will be creating a kindness rock garden for a school. A space where students, staff, and the greater community can find or leave a rock that has positive affirmations on it. The goal is to give kindness as well as engage in the process of thinking about kindness. The supplies list will be used to make sure every child at our school can make a rock and share the kindness. To remind us all everyone can be kind. Please help us bring the Kindness Project to life.
