This project will help all of my students have equal access to my state science and social studies standards. The Chromebooks allow me to push the students that need to be pushed while simultaneously allowing me to help students who need intervening. We use Chromebooks on a daily basis for math and reading intervention as well as for research and producing alternative means of mastery. We are striving for 1:1 student to technology access and this will put us one step close to reaching that goal! The Google Expeditions virtual reality set will allow me to show my students and let them experience science and history in a way that they have never experienced it before! I will act as their guide and take them to all corners of the universe. For example, during our Colonization unit, I can take them on virtual field trips to places like Williamsburg in order to experience what life was like for colonists. The simple machines science kits will allow my students the opportunity to create the machines that we will learn about such as inclined planes, wedges, and levers and pulleys. That kinesthetic input is so valuable!
