Many of my students struggle to focus their attention on the task at hand and/or on direct instruction due to their constant motion or fidgetiness. I am trying to create a space where they can expend their extra energy and remain engaged while doing so. The selected items on my wish list will provide sensory and movement opportunities for my students so that they can remain actively engaged in learning. The sensory cushions will allow the children to stay seated during carpet time. They will be able to satisfy their need to move and still be able to stay focused during instruction. The chair bands will help with excess leg and feet movement during seatwork. The wobble stools will be particularly beneficial to those students struggling with attention issues.
