Independent work is a daily occurrence in my classroom. Currently, students are stuck at their desk most of day. The only other choice students have is to sit on the floor. Flexible seating will give them many more options. During independent work time, students enjoy choosing their own spot to work. It helps engage and keep them focused. Students will use these materials during independent work time. They may choose to sit at different heights. Some students may choose to sit on stools at a high table, or they may choose to sit on the floor in a stadium chair.
