Twice a year over 100 students create and design a sewing machine project. Usually the first semester is a basic project: bag or pillow case. During the second semester students are challenged with a more difficult project. Such as: pajama bottoms or aprons. By having these three new sewing machines, I can work with three students at a time. The other students will be completing their hand-stitching projects. The sewing machine peddle can be used by special needs students. I have found it to be easier to have students push the peddle with their hands rather than their foot. This ensures that I am empowering all children I my class. All are included.
