This project will include activities that the students have not been able to delve into in the past. It will give the students new experiences and challenges of a professional artist in order to mature as a growing young artist. Materials like these are hard to come by when ordering the very limited supplies that the school's budget can afford. Much is left out and with this project I hope to motivate students to want to go to college to study in the art field to learn more. This project goes above the normal drawing painting level by allowing student to build, repaint a small furniture piece that they bring in, throw clay on the wheel, create a clay piece, delve into stretching canvas and using gesso to create their own canvas to paint on, create a mask using paper mache or plaster craft plaster strips, create several prints using printmaking materials, and creating exciting new art pieces with the use of new equipment , materials and tools. Printmaking, using more drawing materials for more experiences, clay building, clay throwing, sculpting, painting, 3-d projects, stretching canvas and more.
