I heard the saying once, "There is a book for that,". I truly believe this and have adopted it into my own vocabulary. The books on this list will be springboards for conversations and learning about inclusivity, equity, compassion, and kindness (to self and others). We are currently in school full-time. If we move to remote learning, I could use the books for home learning, too, by making videos of myself reading them or reading them during remote meetings. We will learn concepts, vocabulary, and actively engage in activities that reinforce the ideas in the books. These books will enhance positive classroom talk and build students growth mindsets.
