We use a curriculum titled Read It Once Again. The students focus on one book each month such as Brown Bear, My Truck is Stuck, and The Hungry Caterpillar. The hands on book kits, puppets, and manipulatives that I am requesting will make the stories come to life. My students love this curriculum and are able to re-tell the stories by the end of the month. These items will help motivate the students to attend and participate in the story telling of each book. The props will encourage communication, cognitive, social/emotional, and motor skill development. The books will develop literacy and cognitive skills. The puppets will develop social/emotional and communication skills. The manipulatives will develop fine motor skills.
