The use of specially designed lessons is a daily occurrence in my classroom, in all subjects. Using the colorful assignments allow students to identify where we are in the lesson and pinpoint areas where they need assistance. What becomes a problem is the fact that access to color printers is almost nonexistent. When we can't get color copies, it's as if the lesson fades to black and students are not as motivated to engage. Even though the school gives us access when it is feasible, the lack of consistency in lesson format for my students who all have intellectual disabilities and focusing issues, minimizes the effectiveness of the lesson. a color printer for our classroom, students will access to colorful lessons that will increase both focus and learning! By donating to our project, you will help boost student achievement for students with intellectual disabilities!
