These items will help make a difference in my students' learning by giving them materials at their fingertips or within their reach. In other words, my classroom could use these items to help promote learning (paper, pencils, rulers, notebooks) so that they can focus on the task and not worry about where they will get them. We are in a school where there are many underprivileged students who have trouble paying for school supplies. Also, the items will provide more opportunities for incentives--since there are behavior issues in my class, there will be prizes and snacks for good behavior, completed work, and meeting a criteria. Many of my students are English Language Learners, as well as with exceptionalities, so the games, coloring and other creative avenues will help many with their learning, their social skills, and their communication skills.
