My students are very interested in class readings and in order to encourage them to read on their own they need more options. Adding more young adult novels to my class library will encourage students to read because they enjoy YA novels. Allowing my students to read more in the biggest educational tool I can give them. It allows them to be exposed to different themes, tones, and styles of writing which will help them later in their educational lives as they have to analyze new texts. Reading also gives them to a save and educational outlet that will never end.
