The materials that I am requesting for my students will help them focus and stay engaged. We work at our desks when we are doing our work independently and we use our large carpet for much of our other instructional time. We have started to include classroom stools to sit on instead of chairs and the response from the children has been phenomenal! The donations to this project will help my first grade students stay engaged and learn without having to sit still for long periods of time. The wobble chairs would allow my students to get their wiggles out, work at their desks, and stay focused. The wobble cushions allow them to have the option of a textured cushion seat during carpet time so they may also get their wiggles out. My student who has ADHD would also benefit greatly from this project. Overall, my students will love having flexible seating pieces into our classroom!
