We have access to multiple online programs that cater to the student's current academic abilites. The students enjoy working on these programs, but do have a difficult time focusing due to the audio functions. We currently have 10 headphones for a class of 24 students. These 10 headphones get the job done, but they are broken. Our classroom is set-up in a way to better cater to the student's academic abilities through the implementation of small groups. Most of our day is spent in small groups where student's are working on specific individualized skill sets. This has proven to be extremly successful in regards to making classroom curriculum accessible to all students, but it does make it difficult when there's multiple computers all saying different things. The students are troopers and have done a wonderful job spacing themselves out as much as possible and even wearing hoodies to help drown out as much noise as possible. I would love to be able to offer my students their own headphones and help take away as many roadblocks that I can.
