This project will begin funding a new sensory room for the students at Lyle Creek Elementary. Often my students with special needs become over stimulated with the excitement that each school day brings. This room will provide a quite and relaxing space for students to receive sensory feedback through quiet play so they can recenter for learning. Items such as fidgits, calming sensory toys, weighted objects, and more will be provided for students with special needs to use under the supervision of teachers in all of our Exceptional Children's Classes. This project will benefit multiple students in multiple classes and will also be available for students in our regular education classes as well.
