I teach in an elementary school that is part of a large school district. My students are eager to learn and do their best. They love to read! There is a buzz about books in our classroom. Students are provided with many opportunities to discuss what they are reading in small groups, large groups, and with reading buddies. My students have a variety of learning needs that keep teaching challenging and exciting at the same time. Books are an important part of learning, especially for third graders. Third grade reading proficiency is very important and often determines future reading success. The more books available for students, the greater the buzz becomes.
