Spelling instruction has always been about memorizing lists and taking the test. I want to give students a way to get hands-on with their words while learning the rules that dictate why words are spelled the way they are. Instead of just writing the words over and over, they will have the opportunity to build words using different materials of their choice. Students learn best when they have a choice in how they learn. Everyone learns differently and these resources will help children find what they are interested in and will be more engaging when practicing spelling words.

About my class
