Flexible seating is a great tool for teachers who have very active kiddos. My class has a solid group of kiddos that have a very hard time focusing while sitting in a chair. Providing flexible seating allows for all students to have equal access to the lesson by allowing them to move around. It allows students to put their focus on what is being taught instead of thinking about how badly they need to move around. I have seen how flexible seating has helped students in other rooms be successful and that is what I want for my students. I know that they can all be successful, I just need to find which tools are going to be best for them. I know that they have had flexible seating in previous classrooms and I want to be able to give them the same success in my classroom.
