Evidence shows that children with Autism Spectrum Disorder demonstrate improvement in following a daily routine and completing expected tasks when provided with a visual schedule. There are so many amazing applications that can be used on the iPad to provide structure and visuals for our students to participate in the school environment. For example, the application Choiceworks provides images of real life objects that are used in therapy sessions. Additionally, there are many calming applications such as SuperStretch Yoga that can assist our students with calming strategies when they experience difficulty regulating themselves throughout the day. Help us, help them!
