My students are exceptional learners with a wide variety of diagnoses and even wider range of communication abilities. I see students with diagnoses including Autism, traumatic brain injury, intellectual disabilities, global developmental delays, cerebral palsy, and learning disabilities - just to name a few. One dimensional representations of items (pictures) are often difficult for my students to process. Pictures also do not capture and hold a child's attention the way that tangible, 3-dimensional objects do. Tangible, 3-dimensional items will help my students to learn language concepts and new speech sounds so that they can communicate to the best of their ability. These materials can be used in a variety of therapeutic activities with students of all ages and across diagnoses.
