A key part of an effective classroom and learning is modeling. In a second grade classroom, an easel is the perfect classroom tool for this purpose. The students will have easy access, and it will keep them engaged during lessons. This easel is a magnetic whiteboard, can hold anchor charts, and has a storage shelf for all necessary supplies. This easel will be utilized throughout the day in many lessons! In addition, in our school we encourage and use inter class visits where we model effective lessons for other teachers as part of growing professional development. While working with students, these easels will provide students the opportunity to model and record our thinking in math. We can manipulate magnetic letters during our daily FUNDATIONS lessons as well as use the easel to hang chart paper and posters for various lessons throughout the day! This easel is a much-needed. Having a mobile easel will allow our class to share, work, and learn from each other! It will also allow other teachers to learn and grow as we meet and debrief after our visits!
