Our school has adopted the Core5 reading program for our students. This is a reading program that is leveled for the students according to a pretest that is given. The program focuses on comprehension, phonics, spelling, and reading strategies to improve their reading skills. It is a good program that has helped many of my students reading ability improve. One of the difficult things about implementing this program has been having enough headphones for my students. I do have some, but many of them only work on one side and my students can't hear. The headphones are expensive and cost too much for me to replace. I feel these headphones would be very beneficial to continue to provide differentiated instruction that is much needed.
