IPads can be a very important tool in the lives of students with significant disabilities. Students with mobility issues will be able to display their work from their seats to better participate in class. Students will be able to use text-to-speech, speech-to-text, and augmented speech apps specific to Apple products to communicate knowledge and gain access to curriculum. In the past my students have been able to create iMovies, cartoons, and graphs on a given topic as different forms of assessing what they know. Parts of our curriculum can be accessed through iPad apps which create independent learning opportunities for my students.
