In collaboration with media, technology, and art, we would like to create 3D student work samples using the Dremel Digilab 3D45 Printer. As a team, we will collaborate to integrate objectives throughout the curriculum. An example of a future project is "The Life Cycle of the Butterfly." The process would begin in the media center researching the life cycle, sketching, and labeling the life cycle in art, and finally creating and printing the final product in technology with our new 3D printer. Other projects include weather and natural disasters, adaptations and the wide world of frogs, animal defense mechanisms, and student devised solutions to technology challenges. Final products will be displayed throughout our school for the enjoyment of all! Overall, this project will reinforce the 4 Cs of Education (collaboration, critical thinking, creativity, and communication). Our specialists will be able to collaborate in various projects across the curriculum while integrating literacy, science, and social studies.
