Guided reading is my students' and my favorite part of the day. They gather around the reading table eagerly anticipating what their new book will be about today. Sitting at the reading table and getting their hands on new books they can read by themselves makes them feel empowered in their learning! Unfortunately, the selection of books in our school book room is very outdated and lacks the diversity and variety my students crave. Many of the books are tattered and torn, held together by tape and staples. These books I am requesting will allow me to continue to excite my students and ignite their passion for learning and reading. Students will also get to bring these books home and share their pride by reading to their families each night.

About my class
