This technology will allow students to take charge of their learning with the tools they do not access to have at home. They will make the choices that work best for them to become proficient students. During independent work times, they will be able to choose a subject to improve their learning across the curriculum. Currently, my students are tied to the materials I have available such as paper, pencils, markers, crayons, manipulatives, etc. Making sure students are comfortable with the technology for end of year testing is an essential component in motivating them. I have noticed amazing differences in my students when they are given a chance to take charge of their own learning. They almost always make good choices in the classroom and around school. They are more engaged and get more work completed. The Chromebooks can be used to bridge gaps in learning as well as push students to their full academic potential. The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them charge of their learning to make more effective learning choices. The old ways of teaching are quickly changing into the technological world. These will be extremely beneficial for students as they work in small groups frequently. I have seen how taking charge of their learning can positively affect my students' work and hope that the additional options will help us grow even more!
