Our students need to build stamina while reading and struggle to find the right book. Having a selection of books to browse through will help make their choice easier. Incorporating more independent reading will build their vocabulary and analysis skills. This project will help bring new books into the hands of young readers. What better way to build an academic culture than with quality sources of reading. The books purchased will rotate between teachers during an intervention block to help teachers during our reading period. Students can create book clubs and literature circles with other readers. Teachers can encourage discussion and ask questions while working with small groups.
