We are requesting owl pellet dissection mini-kits. We will use the owl pellet dissection kits to learn about owl nutrition and the skeletal systems of small animals. Students will observe the contents of the pellets to learn about the things that they eat. Students will discover the different types of bones as they sort through their findings and match them with the proper bones on the diagrams. This will be a great way to learn about the skeletal system of small animals. This hands-on project will motivate my students to learn about nutrition and the skeletal system in my small animals class. They will see first-hand the bones that make up these animals.
