My goal is to incorporate these STEM activities during indoor recess and free choice time (when my students are allowed to choose an activity they like to do at the end of the day) to make these times more academically engaging and provide my students with opportunities to foster important skills. STEM toys are multi-purpose learning tools that sharpen kids' knowledge and enable them to have fun at the same time. The toys are not only entertaining and engaging to play with, but educational too. These STEM items will encourage my students to explore the world around them, and develop skills in problem-solving, designing and building. These materials emphasize on communication, collaboration, problem-solving, creativity, critical thinking, as well as understanding of sequences and programming fundamentals. My students need most of these skills to become successful in today’s world.
