We dive headfirst into art strategies that most students don't learn until about their second or third year in art. I do my best to incorporate a large variety of skills and techniques throughout different lessons. I introduce students to multiple mediums: 2D, 3D and 4D works while exploring how to create a narrative with their art. GLAAZ has never had an art program before, which means I get to provide the first opportunity for many girls to find their passion for the arts. Though providing opportunity comes with responsibility. I want to offer the best I can of myself as an educator, and the best I can for a classroom. The need for supplies is crucial and most of the time I spend money out of my own pocket. Having resources like DonorsChoose gives my students and me hope that donations are possible.
