Learning the multiplication facts is an important step towards success in mathematics. My third grade students love to quiz each other with flashcards and often ask to take them home to practice. I would like each student to have their own set of flashcards to use when they practice at home. My students are eager to memorize the multiplication and division facts. Having a set of flashcards at home will allow them to practice everyday and learn the facts at their own pace. When the students practice their math facts at home, it allows us to spend more time in the classroom on exploring math at a deeper level through group work, math talks and math problem solving.
