All of our students want to learn to do a good haircut and style. Daily we practice different techniques with Kalyx and Hairginko mannequins, using the Wahl Magic Clip and Wahl shaver, Finger-waving with Eco styling gel, wash n blow dry with Conair blow dryer, and hair straightening with Kecol hair straightener. Currently, we only have 10 mannequins. Our average class is 35 students, so it's difficult for all students to participate in assignments. Having new mannequins will provide the opportunity for all the kids to experience and practice the hands-on skills at their own steady pace individually, and group(s) assignment. Our students need tools and supplies such as Wahl Magic Clippers, Wahl Foil Shavers, Eco firm hold styling gel, Conair blow dryer, and Kecol hair straightener to practice the art of hair cutting and styling. This helps them with the basic practice of hairstyling and hair cutting. As they progress, they will be able to do team and independent work creating hairstyles and hair cuts and to be able to practice socialization. In conclusion, students will utilize mannequins and supplies to learn many hair cutting and styling techniques.
