We will use the sketchbooks daily with drawing prompts that elicit self examination of feelings and self expression that is beneficial for the student. The daily practice will enable the students to both improve their art skills and have a safe way to express their emotions through art any time they need to. Visual art provides a means of expressing feelings that doesn't require specific language knowledge, additionally, the students have complete control over who sees their work other than the teacher. Sometimes, expression through writing can be difficult, especially for students who are adapting to a new language therefore creating visual art offers and alternative.
