These headphones will allow students to independently use a host of educational software and listening stations to build reading fluency and gain phonemic awareness. Students in our classroom work in groups at reading centers stationed around the room. At any given time, students are listening to books on tape, working on Chromebooks, reading and writing silently, and completing guided reading with the teacher. These headphones will benefit all students by keeping students at Chromebooks focused on their individual activities, allowing students at Chromebooks and audiobook centers to better hear the materials, and keeping noise from those centers from disrupting students engaged in reading and writing silently or working with the teacher.

About my class
