Bringing a sense of home into the classroom. Reading nook area for comfort, books for reading, and throw pillows for a cozy laid back take on reading with enjoyment. Students will be able to spread out and lay down while reading in the reading nook area. I want to make reading come alive for them as we promote DEAR (Drop Everything and Read) during our 4th period blocks for students to grab a book and read for 40 minutes a day. Students truly enjoy this; however, with the hard floors and a minimal amount of books. I seek to make this a live classroom of comfort and fantasy.
