I teach first grade so oftentimes we come to the carpet area for many different activities and learning opportunities throughout the school day. I work hard to teach my first graders the importance of personal space and keeping hands and feet to self. I truly believe that with individual carpet squares my students will be able to utilize their understanding of personal space while still actively participating in calendar activities, silent reading activities, and other fun learning opportunities in my first-grade classroom. The students will be able to have a comfortable and safe place to sit throughout the day while giving them flexible seating to grow and learn even when not at their desks.
