I spent many, many hours before school began to give the classroom a much-needed overhaul - decade-old curriculum and textbooks filled the room, along with an overabundance of large furniture. After many years of staff and program changes, our EBD room is under transformation - and we need your help! Gone is all the large furniture, leaving the room with a much needed sense of calm. But the area is still in need of some items that would benefit the overall purpose of the classroom - a place to calm emotions and improve behavior. Calming floor tiles and comfortable seating to process emotions would be an asset to the classroom. Creative materials that allow students to express themselves and their emotions would be just the beginning of a much needed revival of our space.
