I am not going to lie I was hesitant for flexible seating when I started it three years ago, after a couple of years of old school desks and chairs. However, I was surprised. Kids take ownership of their learning. They have a choice of where they get to work. I was a changed woman. I LOVE flexible seating, just like my students do. It allows them a choice on HOW to learn, where they want to learn. Basically, it allows them to choose where would "I learn best." It holds them accountable. I would be an advocate for flexible seating. I need these materials because I do not have enough options for my students to choose where they sit. These will give my students more opportunities to choose where they get to sit to learn! Along with how they sit at their spots, as a teacher, I am constantly wondering, WHY are they sitting there? Well, I love STEM learning. These materials would add on with my flexible seating enormously. At their flexible seating they can build their brains with these AMAZING STEM activities! These are extensions to what they already learn in science. I love how hands-on they are. It's fantastic. All in all, my classroom would LOVE these flexible seating options along with these amazing STEM activities.
