My students will be using these glockenspiels everyday. They will be used to help decode the notes of songs we are singing in class as well as introducing concepts like improvisation and composition to them. They will be able to improvise using certain notes on the glockenspiel and then actually writing those notes down to compose music. For students who are visual and kinesthetic learners, glockenspiels are a wonderful instrument for them. They are visually able to identify notes of pitch on the instrument and kinesthetically they are able to play them by having to coordinate hand movement with sound. Glockenspiels are a critical instrument in building the foundation to students instrumental music education.
