I have requested the materials listed because of a classroom poll that I created two years ago. The poll every year has shown that students in my district are, in fact, creative and have a thirst to know, understand, invent and create new things. Many of my students love art and love seeing it displayed in their communities and therefore, strive to grow as artists in varied disciplines. Having these materials expands to a variety of the interests my students have mentions in the classroom poll for the last two years. Wire sculpture and Wood burning are two of the projects that students have been most interested and engaged in over the last two years. These materials would make it more accessible and easier for my larger class sizes to work and grow together.
