Students will be introduced to electricity, circuit building, battery motors and building simple robotic machines. They will progress to kit building to help build their confidence to design and build their own robots. These kits and materials will allow each student to handle the materials and tools necessary to build the foundation in electric circuits needed to understand basic electrical machines they use every day. The class challenge to build their own robot will not seem so daunting with that foundation in their repertoire of experience. The multiple levels of engagement provided by this project will allow the students both an independent and group experience to support their journey.
